WATERCOLOUR INTRODUCTION TASTER DAY

A fun watercolour taster day where participants will be supported while trying numerous watercolour techniques in a fast-paced introduction to this great sketching medium.

 

This course runs indoors with still life as a subject focus, but the skills learnt are applicable for all types of painting.

AN INTRODUCTION TO OIL PAINT

What you need and how to start with oil paints.

 

A day of taught step-by-step activities to start you off with oil paints in a straightforward and supported workshop setting working from still life.
 

HOW TO DRAW….strategies to draw everything.

PART ONE

A day workshop on drawing skills and approaches.

 

Each skill will be demonstrated by Kim and then explored by the participant.

 

The day will include a selection of discrete drawing strands using different materials in short varied activities. Each will build the skill set required to draw.

PART TWO

A second-day workshop on drawing skills, materials, and approaches.

 

Each skill will be demonstrated by Kim and then explored by the participant.

 

The second half of the day will include a longer observed drawing activity and a short discussion to conclude the workshop.

COLOUR MIXING THE MALVERN HILLS…

EITHER…

 

Working in the painting medium of the participants choice this workshop will begin with a short demonstration of very useful colour theory (which is way more fun than it sounds and really helpful) and then we will move on to the hills to capture the colours of the hills in rapid sketches on foot for the remainder of the day.

Working watercolour this workshop will begin with a short demonstration of very useful colour theory (it sounds less fun than it is!) and then we will move on to the hills to capture the colours of the hills in rapid sketches on foot for the remainder of the day, concluding by capturing the view from the Beacon (weather permitting)

PAINT OR DRAW A SPECIAL GIFT FOR A FAMILY MEMBER

Participants bring along an item of significance for the gift recipient (e.g., a Favourite toy, Wine, Perfume bottle, etc.) and paint a unique gift.
