Stained Glass with Jo

Jo Snowdon is inspired by many different styles of stained glass, from the beautiful rose windows of Gothic cathedrals to the works of Louis Comfort Tiffany and William Morris, and the incredible windows designed by Antoni Gaudi.
Her personal work tends to lean towards the abstract and often includes circular bubbles and long flowing lines.
Botanical Casting with Clare

Clare Mahoney's ceramics reflect her love of the natural world, capturing its textures, patterns, and rhythms through the malleable medium of clay.
Her pieces are made using porcelain, and traditional hand-building techniques. The surface imagery is created through printmaking, drawing, and low-relief inlay. She draws inspiration from the beauty of human connections and the everyday world around her. Creating elements, multiples, and small sculptures that are then collaged together.
Creating Artwork with Nature Botanical Casting with Plaster and Cornish Stone.
This workshop highlights our connection to the natural world, encouraging us to slow down and look closely at nature. The intricate structure, texture, and beauty of foraged botany are the hedgerows we drive past daily. The clay impression is used to form a mould. The mould is loaded with plaster and Cornish stone, creating a positive mirror image of the clay piece. The clay is removed, and the Botanical relief is revealed. Just like a Botanical monoprint, it’s simple and effective, bringing out all the unnoticed detail.
Sliver with Emma

You will make three sterling silver rings. The first two will be stack rings, and the third will be your choice, either another stack ring or a wider (6mm wide) ring.
You can choose embellishments such as hearts and bobbles for one of the rings.
Emma Edwards started silversmithing in 2001, and over twenty years later, she is in the fortunate position to be able to work full-time for herself doing what would otherwise be her hobby.
She sits in her little cabin in the heart of the Cotswolds, UK. She designs and makes in the day and sells at fairs some weekends. She loves working with silver and particularly likes using a technique called reticulation because of the organic look it gives the silver. She often uses semi-precious stones and copper with her pieces, also liking the twisty tendrils that were found in the Art Nouveau style and finds them creeping back into her pieces again and again.
